Art Meets Mickey
The exhibition approached Mickey Mouse as one of the defining images of twentieth-century popular culture and as a figure that had long crossed into the visual vocabulary of modern and contemporary art.
The participating artists reinterpreted the character through painting, sculpture, video, installation and artist books, moving between popular imagery and contemporary art practice.
